Editorial Cartoons Of Donald Trump’s Illegal Regime Change In Venezuela

I write columns in long-form and need the space to make my points. I am old school for sure. I do not text and have no patience for a given number of characters being allowed when I encounter certain websites. But, having said that, I have been a lifelong fan of editorial cartoons that are highly effective in making a point about a complex issue in a limited space. An impactful image can convey a point in a serious and comedic way. I respect the cartoonists who can connect with the readers of newspapers at an emotional level. (Herbert Lawrence Block, commonly known as Herblock, was a part of my growing-up years, as he had President Richard Nixon drawn to comical precision with a telling message in each sketch.)

And it is at an emotional level that our nation finds itself after the illegal removal of the president of Venezuela by the Donald Trump administration. The nation’s newspapers have a wide array of views about this topic on the Op-Ed pages, and I present a few of them for my readers.
